Melbourne CBD Streets (New Product)

The Treasury
Gardens are situated at the eastern end of the CBD, near Victoria’s
Parliament House and the old Treasury buildings, and opposite the
Windsor Hotel. They create a landscaped
setting for Parliament House and comprise large areas of lawn and
walking paths lined with large trees. There is an ornamental pond
and a number of memorials.
The gardens are renowned for their Moreton
Bay figs, the hydrangeas below Treasury Place, and Guilfoyle’s Japanese
garden around the ornamental pond. Treasury Gardens are separated
from Fitzroy Gardens by Lansdowne Street. One of the reasons business
people and other visitors to Melbourne like to stay at the Hilton
Hotel in East Melbourne is because they can walk through the Fitzroy
and Treasury Gardens on their way to the CBD.
