of beautiful things, the W.R. Johnston Collection is a fine and
decorative arts museum in East Melbourne, which borders the CBD.
It presents an astonishing and diverse collection arranged in the
English Country House Style and is known for its exceptional decorative
arts pieces from the Georgian, Regency and Louis XV periods.
Weekday and occasional evening and Saturday tours are available
for small groups. Because the collection point is situated in a
residential area, visitors are collected in a courtesy van from a
central meeting place.
