The Golden Mile
Trail explores Melbourne's heritage precincts and city streets,
arcrades and laneways. About 4 kilometres, it features some of Australia's
most important buildings from the National Estate, Heritage Victoria
and National Trust registers and usually takes about two and a half
to three and a half hours to complete.
You can guide yourself by
purchasing a $4 booklet from the Visitor Information Centre at the
Melbourne Town Hall (cnr Little Collins & Swanston Streets)
or you can take a guided tour. Guided tours run Wednesday, Friday
and Saturday (tour details from Visitor Centre).
