Situated on the Esplanade, St Kilda, The Esplanade Market overlooks the St Kilda Beach and is a short stroll from a hive of cafes and restaurants located in Fizroy Street (north end) and Acland Street (south end). Also overlooks the historic Luna Park. The market brings together near to 200 Victorian artists and craftspeople who display and sell their works to the public.
Start your tour from the north end of the market for an easy downhill stroll as you view the half kilometre of stalls.
There is a diverse range of arts and crafts from paintings, wood work, sculptures, jewelry, leatherwork, fabric prints, clothes and much more. The presentation range is diverse, from wood, glass, paper, resin, recycled materials.
The market is open for trade every Sunday from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
To get there by tram, catch the No. 16 from Swanston Street or the No 96 from Bourke Street, City. Or, by car, it's a 10 minute drive from the City, parking is restricted but there is plenty of it.
